Research Interest:

 

     Discovery and development of new paclitaxel analogs: synthesis of advanced second-generation taxoids.

        Investigation of the bioactive binding conformation of palitaxel and its congeners by developing active macrocycle-constrained taxoids: Design and synthesis of conformationally restricted macrocyclic taxoids bearing tethers linking C-2 and C-3’N positions as well as taxoids bearing tethers linking C-2 and C-3’ positions using ring-closing metathesis reactions.

    Design and total synthesis of new generation of taxane-free anticancer agents: Designing scaffolds replacing taxane ring based on molecular modeling   

          studies; Total synthesis of scaffolds and de novo hybrids based on designed scaffolds.
