• Organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry of biologically important molecules with an emphasis on alkaloids;
• Development and application of heterocyclic annulation methods and metal-catalyzed cross-coupling procedures.

RESEARCH PROJECTS

• Synthesis of paclitaxel (Taxol®) derivatives bearing functionality that will allow for analytical determination of the tubulin-bound conformation of paclitaxel. (Stony Brook)
